  • The best auto insurance I ever had was through the Southern California Automobile Club (AAA); they were a large enough entity that they underwrote their own auto insurance and it was much cheaper and better than anything else on the market. You had to be a member of AAA to get the insurance.

  • You pay for auto insurance to cover damage to your automobile whether or not its your fault especially when you pay an additional premium for "Collision" damage. To imply that your rate should go up IF you are involved in an accident is nonsense unless you have a record of claims.
